Our Spotted Owl
We learned over Thanksgiving weekend that Jefferson is allergic to amoxicillin. The poor little boy has been miserable. Not only does he still have his ear infection, but now he has an itchy rash. These pictures were taken on Saturday and Sunday. The rash looks much better today.

Happy Halloween
For Halloween, Dave was a member of the Darma Initiative; I was a butterfly; Jefferson was a pumpkin; and Kayleigh was bloody Mary.

More Jefferson
I know, I know. More pictures of Jefferson. Well, I just can't help myself because I think he's so dang cute!! If I had new pictures of Kayleigh, I'd be posting those as well. Because she is so dang cute too. After years of wondering if I'd ever get married or become a mom, it finally happened. So, I'm gonna celebrate even if that means posting picture after picture of my beautiful family!!

Be Weary of Tru Talent Management
About two weeks ago, Dave and I were approached in Wal-mart by a gal who told us we had a cute baby. She proceeded to tell us that she was with a talent agency and they were recruiting for Gap. She asked if we would be interested. We didn't see any harm to it so we gave her our number. We thought it would be fun to see if Jefferson ended up in a Gap commercial or advertisement.
A couple of days later, the agency called us and Jefferson's audition was scheduled. We were told to bring some recent pictures of him so they could see how he looked on print as well. We thought this would be a fun thing to investigate and explore. Not that we want a child star or anything, but we do have one darn cute baby!! So, why not.
I went on the Internet to do some homework regarding this company. They had a web-site and seemed to be a legitimate business. The web-site bragged that the helped supply extras for High School Musical 3. Okay, I thought. They are legit so let's see where this takes us.
The day of Jefferson's audition, I decided to do some more digging. And what did I find..this group is just a scam. They are a legitimate company but they have a gimmick.
I found many complaints and stories on the Internet of people who were approached in stores or malls just like we were. They also received calls for the first audition and asked to bring in pictures. Just like us. However, when you get to the 'audition', they tell you that you need acting classes, modeling classes, a photo portfolio, etc. They try to get you to sign a contract stating that you will pay them X amount of $$ for said classes and photos. If you can't pay for it all upfront, they let you make payments to a 3rd party. The 3rd party is owned by a family member and is a collection agency. Also, when they tell you they are recruiting for a client, such as Gap, they aren't and don't even have a contract with that company.
So, if you are ever approached in a store by a talent scout, JUST SAY NO.
Needless-to-say, Jefferson missed his audition!

All Good Things Come to an End
As always, July goes by too fast. We had so much fun with Kayleigh. We love her and miss her when she's gone but we know she needs to be with her other family too. Since Dave is still unemployed, they were able to spend so much more time together than the previous summers. And Kayleigh was able to spend time getting to know her brother. As you can see from the picture, he thoroughly enjoyed her constant attention.

David's Mural
Dave spent June doing a mural in our living room. If you know of anyone who would like one done, let us know. Dave is a very talented artist. He can do almost anything--3D art, painting, graphic design, sketching, etc.

Side By Side
We had Jeffie's pictures taken yesterday since he will be 6 months tomorrow. I ran across some pictures of when Kayleigh was about 8 months old. I love the similarities between the two.
