Jeffie's Blessing Day

OK--So we're bad parents. The only picture we took on Jeffie's blessing day is this.....

So, we put him in the same outfit the next Sunday and I took some pictures of him with his daddy. My twin sister's three boys all wore the same outfit on their blessing days.

Jeffie's blessing was wonderful and Dave did an awesome job. We're grateful to those who were able to attend.

Christmas 2008

Christmas contained a realm of emotions for us this year. We were supposed to have Kayleigh and we were super excited for her to meet her brother. However, since Kayleigh lives in North Eastern Canada, the weather made this impossible. Too many airports were shut down due to the weather. She couldn't get out of Canada. Although we were disappointed and heartbroken that she wasn't with us, we did enjoy spending Christmas with our new little boy and are happy to know that Kayleigh had a good Christmas with her family in Canada.

Jefferson David Sykes

Jefferson David Sykes was born on Nov. 11, 2008 at 6:19 PM. He was 8 lbs 3 oz and 19 inches. We are so happy to have this little guy in our family.

Kayleigh's Birthday - July 2007

We've made it a tradition to have a birthday party for Kayleigh when she is with us in the summers. This year, she wanted a princess party.

Disneyland - July 2007

We took Kayleigh to Disneyland while she was with us in July 2007. We all had a lot of fun and Kayleigh was thrilled to meet the Princesses.

Summer 2007

July 2007 was a busy month for us. We moved into a house, got a kitty, and Kayleigh came to visit. Kayleigh named the kitten, Angel, like her kitty in Canada. She was desperately hoping her new kitten was a girl. When we told her the kitty doctor said he was a boy, she asked, "Can we pretend she is still a girl?" Needless-to-say, our cat has gender identity issues.

Graduation Day - May 2007

I graduated with a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management in May 2007.

Wedding Day - Reception

Below are pictures from our reception. Kayleigh helped me shove cake in her daddy's face and she also caught the bouquet. She had a lot of fun and so did we.

Wedding Day - Temple

Dave and I were married on December 30, 2006 in the Salt Lake Temple. Kayleigh, of course, was the flower girl. She looks beautiful!!

Dave and I met on February 5, 2006 at a CES Fireside. Neither of us planned to attend the fireside, but changed our minds at the last minute. Dave proposed on May 5, 2006. I found my ring inside a fortune cookie. We then went through the process for Dave to receive permission to remarry in the Temple. The letter granting Dave permission came from the 1st Presidency in record time. We were so excited!!

Christmas 2006

Kayleigh was able to come for Christmas 2006. She had a lot of fun celebrating Christmas with her daddy and family in Utah. Dave's grandma stayed the night at Dave's apartment so I could spend Christmas Eve and morning with Dave and Kayleigh. Here are a few pictures.
